Maria Dellos -- Demonstrating All Weekend

Maria Dellos will be coming to The Greg Leiser Sixth Annual Gourd Festival. This is the first time that Maria will be demonstrating independently the Terra Bella Finishes and Stewart Superior Ink Dyes, which she pioneered the techniques that everyone has heard about. She has literally changed the coloring approach to your gourd art with these fine art products she is promoting. This will be the first of many shows she is attending this year nation wide. Maria is no longer affiliated with the Welburn’s Gourd Farm or the Gourd Master Products, she has spread her wings and joined forces with another gourd artist who also enjoys the product line as much as Maria does.

Maria lives in Tucson, Arizona and has fallen in love with the Southwest. She started her teaching career with Rubberstamping in the 80’s and then found gourds in 2001. For those of you that don’t know Maria, she has brought incredible knowledge of products with intense color to the gourd world. She is very patient and detailed in her presentation, teaching her secrets to other gourd artists and crafters that attend her demos and classes.

Maria has taken all of her experience and knowledge from the Rubber stamp world and applied it to gourd art. She spent years developing techniques and the time necessary for product development to prove her idea would work, and she did it. Many of the published books available in gourd art only show you how to use Leather Dye or Acrylic Paints and other products that would fade over time. This discovery launched the introduction of the Terra Bella Finishes Product Line that offers incredible color and texture with the promise of high end art grade products. The Stewart Superior Inks and their products are also responsible for permanent rich color that replaces the use of leather dye offering the promise of archival safe, acid free and fade resistant finishes on the gourds.
